I'm a soldier who just had a baby 2 months ago, I thought I wouldn't need the Chapter 8 while I was pregnant, but... 2 weeks before I delivered I found out that my battalion was deploying overseas soon. Problem: My husband and I are in the same battalion which means we would be deploying together, to top it all off, I'm a first-time mom and thought this would be easier (yeah right) I didn't take the Chapter 8 option because 1. I didn't think I would need it and 2. I was told I had some time after baby was born to still get out if I needed to, which I found out today isn't true. So.. now what? Can I still get out? I have 3 years left in my contract...
