Looking for a Birthing Doula

I thought that we did not have any doulas in germany. I however overheard someone say that they had one but I did not get to ask where they found one. I am cutting it close though because I m due Nov. 23. I just would really like to have the support of a doula if any one knows where to find any. I want to try to go as natural as possible so the support would be nice. If any one knows please contact me by sending me a private message through Stripes Military Moms!

A couple of the posters on the story above had doulas, perhaps you can contact them (via our private messages) and find out if they can help?? Just a suggestion?
Also, we had a story in our paper about doulas, featured in above discussion, and it was mentioned the program Operation Special Delivery, which, according to its site: "provides trained volunteer doulas for pregnant women whose husbands or partners have been severely injured or who have lost their lives due to the current war on terror, or who will be deployed at the time that they are due to give birth." I don't know if this is your situation, but perhaps you could contact them and ask them for help in locating a doula in your community?
Anyway, these are just ideas, perhaps someone else will jump in the discussion!!!
