I thought you'd like to know that Stars and Stripes has launched its Holiday Message Program. You get to send a FREE message to someone serving overseas (yes, that includes the Middle East) and the greeting gets printed in the paper.

But! there are deadlines. You have to enter by November 27 for the message to get printed in the paper, otherwise, it will be displayed online only.
