A HUGE HUG AND KISS IS FIRST AND FOREMOST
We usually have family come out to visit...and the 1st night back we eat out...
We all know what happens when the kids are in bed and the Inlaws are back at the hotel...lol...Marvin Gaye time!!! Enough said.
Nice family dinner and then all gather to watch movies, play games, read to the kids ect..and just have fun talking about all the things we did and things we are gonna make up for we missed and how to make them exciting and make them all extra special. Then throughout this the kids give a homemade gift to say how proud they are and what makes them happy about seeing daddy the most to them.
The children and I help him unpack. He loves to hand out small gifts to all of us, telling us the stories behind each gift and why he selected it for each of us. We, in turn, share with him homemade gifts, pictures and stories that haven't been shared. I usually make his favorite meal, meatloaf, for the first night home and we all listen to his stories and we tell him what we missed about him while he was gone. The children get read to before bed, and he and I get some quiet time to reaquaint ourselves slowly with each other.
what great ideas ladies!!!
