Hello military moms!
I was hoping to get some information about DM and schools in the area, specifically those for autistic toddlers. My 3 year old son was recently diagnosed with autism and EFMP allowed us to relocate back to the states to take advantage of the intervention care stateside.
I have been doing a lot of research and so far all of the facilities I have found are in Phoenix rather than in the Tucson area where we will be living.
Also what are some good neighborhoods to find housing?
Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Hi there! I have lived in Arizona my whole life and I LOVE it!! We are at ramstein now, but can't wait to get back to Arizona. We really miss it. Unfortunately I don't know too much about Davis monthan as I've always lived by Luke AFB which is about 2 hours away. But there are programs in every school for all different needs! I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for. If you've never been to Arizona it really can be beautiful, it's obviously hot there but there's always fun ways to cool off and if you head up north for a weekend it's cooler and has a lot to do! Wish I could be of more help about the Tucson area but I think you'll enjoy it.

Just curious if you could give me some info on your work with the EDIS clinic here at Aviano. My middle son is just starting speech therapy, and we've also been told through initial testing he is "at risk" for autism. We're scheduled to do some more definitive tests. He just turned two yesterday, and I guess I'm also wondering, if it does turn out they diagnose him with Autism do they have appropriate services here at all, or is that why you were able to PCS. Of course like all parents we just want the absolute best care available for our children. Any info you're willing to give/share would be great.
