To Register or Not Register...

I posed a question to my friends and family
on Facebook the other day
and
I figured why not ask it here.
I've never been a fan of registries.
I can't remember if we registered for The Artist,
but I'm thinking no...
I did do a small one for The Athlete because
our church at the time
insisted on having a baby shower for me
and
well...
I don't know if you've ever come across
any little old southern baptist ladies,
but when they want to do something,
they do it
and you do it too. LOL
So...
Here are some of the rules I'm hearing regarding registries:
First Baby? Sure.
Second child? Maybe.
Third and subsequent children? No... No... No.
Unless...
They are more than 4 years apart
because after 4 years most parents have gotten rid of
the baby stuff. (like us)
I don't know... I'm really torn on the whole thing...
What do you guys think?
I don't think I'm having a baby shower
although
pinterest has me wanting a baby sprinkle
because
the invitations are just so darn cute
and
I've missed my family and friends since living here
so it would be nice to get together...
Right?
But then I think about the whole not finding out the sex of the baby thing
and well, that makes it a little tough to shop... even for myself,
so I know others would have a hard time...
Then there's the whole paying for my baby thing
that I'm having a hard time with.
I feel like, I'm an adult and well I should buy
my baby stuff.
I shouldn't have to create a
kid during Christmas sized wishlist
for people to buy stuff for my baby.
I know... I know... I'm strange.
LOL
