Stripes Military Moms, associated with Stars and Stripes, is a networking website for mothers and spouses who are stationed with the U.S. military overseas. The military is transient by nature and every time a servicemember is ordered to make a permanent change of station (PCS), the family has to move—and the bulk of that effort falls to Mom. And each move means starting from scratch when it comes to finding vital information about the new community. Our military moms are away from their own support system of family and friends, so Stripes Military Moms was created to help them connect, exchange ideas and offer each other information and support. Besides the usual “official” channels, word-of-mouth is a very important source—especially so for more intimate questions about having a baby, raising kids, and keeping house on a military base. Stripes Military Moms seeks to provide a virtual “word-of-mouth” resource where newcomers can discover what is going on in their community.

We encourage military moms, whether they are mothers of those who serve or married to active-duty servicemembers, to create an account, and once logged in, to participate in the forums – especially if they have a question or know something that could help another mom and to check out blogs from other fellow Military Moms and other content of interest.
